Relief of Belsen

Here is my short film with Major Leonard Berney. Leonard, then aged 25, was a British Army major and one of the first soldiers to enter the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen.

He was responsible for the evacuation of the inmates out of the “horror camp” and subsequently became the Commandant of the Belsen Displaced Persons Camp, caring for 30,000 former prisoners.┬áHe was speaking at a University of Greenwich public lecture halls.
